Ivy Soap Our Ivy Soap is an recipe for an old masters blend of soap used to treat exposure to poison ivy, sumac, oak and any of the irritating nightshade plants. You may use it as a preventative by washing arms and legs with the soap prior to potential exposure, washing areas of exposure (as soon as possible ) or by adding a small amount of water to a dry bar and rubbing into a paste to apply to rashes after the fact. We used a vintage recipe to remake this bar in a modern form for easy application and a more natural way to treat the bad effects of exposure to these little hidden attackers in our environment. This soap has more ingredients than any blend I've ever made, but each one works its own magic to treat the itching, swelling, redness and oozing that can come with exposure to those 3 leaved buggers. I have found it works well to treat bug bites too if you forgot to spray yourself with our Four Thieves Spray prior to heading outside. Offered in 4 oz bars in a muslin bag and Kraft paper box (great for garden party gifts) Ingredients - Argan oil, Shea Butter, Goat Milk, Glycerine (kosher), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide ( saponifying agent),Ammonium , Sorbitol (moisturizer),Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil), Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Camphor, Ammonium Hydroxide, Menthol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Potassium Chloride. Although millions of Americans regularly use scented products without any negative effects, it is always possible that a particular fragrance might trigger a negative reaction in a very small percentage of sensitive individuals. Individuals with known sensitivities to specific fragrances may want to avoid products of those scents. In addition, consumers should remember to burn all candles, whether scented or unscented, in a well-ventilated area and test skincare products in a small area before use.
